No apps, no logins for your managers — it all happens over email.
FPL Mundo "reporters" email a manager an occasional question about their gameweek — their transfer, their captain, their cup tie.
The manager answers in their own words, straight from their inbox. One word or a full rant — both make great copy. (PS — name another manager and we might put it to them next week!)
Their reply appears as a real quote in the next edition — highlighted, and stamped 🎤 Real manager quoted.
Member leagues get the full edition by email — and when Press Conference replies make the cut, the subject line names who’s quoted.
Replies aren’t just pasted in — they’re turned into a real story, with the manager’s direct quote highlighted in purple.
Will Juniper has revealed the secret behind his February managerial success: a surprisingly mundane breakfast routine. “Two slices of peanut butter on toast with a banana every morning! Thrilled to receive the accolade, but the lads know there's still a lot of work to do for the remainder of the season to get to where we want to be,”said the Yoro Wizard Arry boss at last night’s 26 Bashing of Howes awards ceremony. Despite the trophy, Juniper remains a divisive figure among supporters, who have been vocal about their disappointment with his fifth-place standing. His triple captain gambit on Rice (47 points) proved inspired, though he remains 75 points adrift of league leader Billy Howes.
“I bloody love it. We have a competitive and, erm, spirited mini league going on… Press Conferences are a great way to throw some stick around and have general banter.”
Fun, weekly interviews that keep managers engaged — Press Conferences come with every member league.
Become a member league →A bit like a prematch press conference: we email up to three registered managers per league about 24 hours before each FPL deadline. Reply by the deadline to appear in the Prematch Edition.
A bit like a postmatch interview: we email up to six registered managers (depending on gameweek events) shortly after the final game of the gameweek — typically around 6:30 pm Sunday or 10 pm Monday. Reply by 8 am the next morning to appear in the Postmatch Edition.
You can still reply up until the next gameweek — it’ll show up in the next edition with a 🕔 Late response from previous edition badge.
Once you’ve joined as a member league, you’ll see register for press conferences on your league edition — click that and follow the steps to register. If the FPL league admin does this, they’ll get a link to an invite portal where they can add other managers directly.
Maximum one per Prematch Edition and one per Postmatch Edition. In a large league it’s less frequent — there are only three Prematch questions and up to six Postmatch questions per edition in total. If a manager starts ignoring questions, they’ll be asked less often so others get a turn.
Not at all — ignore them, reply with one word, or write whatever they like. Just keep it shorter than a paragraph and family-friendly.
Yes — if someone names a rival in their reply, we might put it to them next week. Chris Speight reckoned Paul Brand had used his wildcard too early; Brand got asked to defend the timing, and the war of words wrote itself.
They make every edition unique. It’s easy to reply (no apps, logins, etc required) and it’s fun to see what league mates have written — and how it’s been written up about them! We’ve found it to be a great way to keep managers engaged over the season.
