Wildcard and triple captain chips deployed to devastating effect. Martin Keown called it "fantastic." Asked to respond, bottom-placed Alex Lomax — 48 points adrift of Hartley — offered: “Nothing to say to him. Tom Ashworth was in characteristically irreverent form after Erling Haaland claimed Nutmeg Nation's September Player of the Month, edging out three rivals who also owned the striker but couldn't match his 57 points. Rory Whitcombe is not a man who does things in half-measures — except, apparently, press conferences, having answered just two of five invitations this season. Still, when he does show up, he delivers. Asked about his sharp transfer work, the Iraola Coaster boss was characteristically measured: “I made the changes I needed.
