21 BOSSES CALL FOR BENCH BACKUP
The managers of 21 teams are looking to start 2026/27 with a bang, naming monster 15-man starting elevens for the opening weekend. "Going this early, it's taken us all by surprise" said Jamie Carragher. "It's a real statement of intent and fair play to them - if it pays off, the other teams could be playing catch-up for the rest of the season."

SINGH SNAPS UP CHAMPIONSHIP PLAYERS
Dominant Sloppyszlai manager Mani Singh has moved quickly to secure the services of Championship players Bobby Thomas, Sindre Walle Egeli and Alex Palmer, with the deals understood to be worth in the region of £12.5. "There's value to be had in the Championship, 'course there is" said Harry Redknapp, through his car window. "But you've got to get the right ones. Moving to the Gert Lush Bristol FPL ML is a big step up for these lads - a big test." The typical Gert Lush Bristol FPL ML side signed one player from Championship clubs over the summer.

UNUSUAL START FOR DOMINANT SLOPPYSZLAI
The first team sheets of the season are in, and one of them has left the pundits reaching for explanations. Mani Singh's Dominant Sloppyszlai go into the opening fixtures with just six of the 15 most globally popular players — the fewest of any side in the Gert Lush Bristol FPL ML. "Did the FPL website crash or something?" said Joe Hart. "I always say, finalise your team well ahead of the deadline to avoid situations like this."

There won't be much time for training. The Gert Lush Bristol FPL ML today confirmed the registration of Mrsvandeven, just nine hours ahead of the crucial gameweek one deadline. "Could Glover have got the team in earlier? Yes" said one fan. "And maybe then we wouldn't've had to make that late move for Van de Ven, either. But they're here now. And that's what matters."
