João Pedro Junqueira de Jesus's several-week stay as the Gert Lush Bristol FPL ML's most-picked player has ended, with sales from Tom Glover, James Platt, Richard Pitt, Rich Painter, Martyn Poole, Charles Hazel, Matti Shannon and Nathan Stacey allowing Erling Haaland to leapfrog the striker. "It was bound to happen eventually," admitted Theo Walcott, "but Joao Pedro's fall feels momentus." The players are currently averaging 7.5 (Haaland) and 10.0 (Joao Pedro) points-per-game.

SIX MANAGERS TURN TO WILDCARD
This gameweek is set to be an important one in the Gert Lush Bristol FPL ML, with Pinky and De Bruyne, Quantum of Tzolis, Eze Come Eze Go, Risking No Salah, Simply Irresistible and Net Six and Chill announcing "wildcards" and said to be making 10 changes on average. Many of those clubs are said to be battling for the signature of Mamadou Sangaré, Pascal Groß, Yoane Wissa, Maxim De Cuyper, Cole Palmer, Lewis Hall, Rayan Cherki, Erling Haaland, Ezri Konsa Ngoyo and Joško Gvardiol. Matt Woolcock was the eagerest beaver, activating the wildcard as early as 9.12pm on Friday 28th August and was still tinkering by 2.43pm on Friday 4th September. VIRGIL TASKED WITH LEADING QUEENS
In a week where Erling Haaland is captained by 39, thirty-ninth-placed Slay Queens manager Effie Glover continues to go without - and has opted for Virgil van Dijk as captain today instead.
