Tom Glover managed it on a wildcard, as one of seven changes that left Food Chain FC 15 points worse off than the squad they started with. NATURES'S MANZAMBI "WORTH EVERY PENNY" OF £6.0M
A rare signing only stays rare until it works. Manzambi, owned by nobody else in the league, marked his Nordi by Nature debut with 11 points, 10 more than Szoboszlai managed in the shirt he left behind, and Andy North banked every one while the rest of the league watched through its fingers. "Enjoy it while he's ours," said fan Kevin Knight. "By Friday he'll be in every team in the league and I'll have to find something else to be smug about." The last five gameweeks have been kind to Darren Addy's Net Six and Chill, the luckiest side in the Gert Lush Bristol FPL ML at +23.2 points per gameweek versus expected. Not kind in a vague, spiritual sense either: measurable, spreadsheet-certified kindness. The clearest exhibit was Joao Pedro, who turned gameweek 4 into a 24-point night from 7.2 expected. "Margins matter," said Gary Neville. "And Addy has had the margins turning up with flowers and a card." ONE-MAN POTATOES CLIMB THE TABLE
It was Tavernier's week. The Jacquet Potatoes midfielder returned 10 points, the pick of a great 82-point week that took Rich Painter's side past FPL Beery FC, Gleedlikers, Olliempiakos, Net Six and Chill, Golden Goal FF and Food Chain FC and up to nineteenth, with the rest of the side doing their bit around him. That leaves them one point off Eze Come Eze Go. "Nice enough," said Mark Lawrenson. "10 points. I've seen better. Can't remember when, mind."

JURY STILL OUT ON HAZEL'S WILDCARD
The jury is out on Charles Hazel's wildcard and has sent out for sandwiches, with a verdict due in about four gameweeks. The evidence so far: the new squad at Yma, ten changes in all, scored 67 points this week, the one it replaced would have scored 71, and the pick of the arrivals was Calafiori, with 6.

IRN BRUNO HAVE A STINKER
Adam Ryan's Irn Bruno went to Chelsea for three of their signings, and this gameweek Rogers (2), Palmer (2) and Joao Pedro (2) managed 6 points between them, in a 53-point week for the seventeenth-placed side. The supporters want answers, and have gone straight to the source. "I've emailed Chelsea to complain," said fan Catherine McLean. "They said they don't know who we are."
